It’s beginning to look a lot like summer school! Three different organizations have asked me to present for their members next week – two webinars and one in-person seminar – and you’re invited to attend, too!
Do you have travel plans this summer? I’m about to go for a drive, from the Atlanta area to the Memphis area. And you can bet I’ll be taking along an audio book, plus audio products I’ve purchased from speakers so I can learn as I drive.
Do you work with a business coach? I do, and don’t know what I’d do without her. She keeps me focused and she keeps me accountable. She’s available to brainstorm solutions to the obstacles that get in the way of every growing business. And she keeps me pointed in the direction of success.
Those of us who run our own businesses, whether solopreneurs or entrepreneurs with employees, know that the steep leg of the learning curve is where we spend a lot of time.

As we approach Father’s Day, I want to acknowledge Dad and share a story with you.
From the time I was a little girl – we’re talking 5 years old – I heard one phrase a lot: “Sandy, don’t monopolize the conversation.” Both Mom and Dad had to haul it out often when we had company. Apparently I was born talking!
When I was nine, I landed my first part in a play. It was a singing part and I really wanted a speaking part. Over the next seven years, I landed lots of speaking parts in lots of other plays. Continue reading Talking for a Living
