“The 28-Day Thought Diet” helps you learn to manage your day, relationships and life in a heads-up, heart-centered way.

What were you just thinking? Were you feeling rushed? Anxious? Irritated? Curious? Peaceful? The number of thoughts a person has each day range from 12,000 to 70,000. For the majority of people, up to 80% of these thoughts are negative.

For the next 28 days, change your life by choosing to hold thoughts that energize and support you. The authors of this book share their personal experience around a specific topic each day. Our goal is to encourage you to observe your thoughts and inspire you to choose a thought that grows your life in a more fulfilling and joyful way.

Often, people ask me about how to get into the world of voiceover. It’s a compliment that voicework artists apparently make it look and sound easy, but it’s like any other business – you need the right training, skills and equipment. For training and skill-building, look for reputable acting schools that also give voiceover classes. If you’re in a major metropolitan area, there’ll be one or two good ones, often attached to a theatre group. For the equipment, here’s what you need. I’m assuming you already have a computer – here are the add-ons that can turn your computer into a production machine and your spare bedroom into a studio.

Audio software – you can download and use Audacity, but if you’re going to be making a living working with audio, you’re going to want a much better software product. I use and recommend Adobe Audition – great product with all the tools, bells and whistles you’ll need.

Sound-deadening panels for your walls

Microphones that plug directly into your computer – these are great for podcasting!

There may come a day when you need professional equipment, not USB mics. Here are two good mics, plus the accessories you’ll need to get them to play nice with your computer. (There are mics that cost much more than these, and in certain applications, it makes sense to use them. For a home studio, these mics will serve you well.)

Your new mic needs an interface to turn analog signals into digital signals before they hit your computer – the M-Audio product line rocks!

You’ll need an amp and speakers to hear what you’re doing – these are affordable and great!

Do you have a question about any of this? I’d love to hear it, and help you with it. Helping people monetize their content is what we do!
